CALL TO ARTISTS

The Call To Artists is Now OPEN!

You are invited to submit your interest in participating in the show by filling out the form below by September 7, 2019.

We will preview your website and social media channels for examples of your work (you do not need to submit the final work or photos of your work).

If you are accepted into the show you will receive an email along with an invoice for the $25 entrance fee. You may pay by credit card or e-transfer. You should receive confirmation of acceptance within 7-14 business days.

Once you have been accepted into the show you may submit one to three, 12”x 12”x1 ½ deep” gallery wrapped canvases or wooden cradles. If you are a textile artist or mixed media artist we are happy to discuss other options but all art must be 12″ x 12″ and must pre-approved by organizers; subject matter is artists’ choice, ready to hang, and signed on the back only. If you are a returning artist we ask that you submit all new work to the current show.

You will also receive guidelines for social media, a press release and other and instructions/postings for use on social media channels.

Each piece of anonymous show art will be priced at $150.00 regardless of the artist and $100.00 per painting will be paid back to the artist when sold. The rest of the monies will go to the New Westminster Arts Council and to cover the basic costs of the show.

IMPORTANT DATES

Art may be brought to 100 Braid St Studios on:

Tuesday October 1: Jurying Process
Once the final pieces are submitted, the show will be juried by a committee of artists and art professionals. There is no guarantee that any piece submitted will be chosen for the show. The iAD selection committee at 100 Braid St reserves the right to refuse any work that we consider offensive to the public

October 2-4 : Artists Notified – Accepted or Declined
October 4: 1:00-5:00pm Pick up of Declined Pieces
October 5: Noon-5pm Pick up of Declined Pieces
October 6: Noon-5pm Pick up of Declined Pieces

October 2-25: Promotion of artists with work accepted into show

October 23: Show Curation & Hanging
October 25: Opening Gala (Paid Event)
October 26: Artist Reception (Private Event for Artists & Buyers only)
October 26: Public Viewing Hours Noon-5pm
October 27: Public Viewing Hours Noon-5pm

Oct 31 – Nov 1: Unsold Art Pick Up 1:00pm-9:00pm

Oct 30-Nov 15 Payments Made to Artists
